Title: Update - New Question About Mame Marquees
Post by: Joystick Jerk on July 16, 2007, 08:22:53 pm
Anyone had problems contacting Mame Marquees lately? I want to send off my custom art to MM, but they've yet to respond to my two emails since last week about uploading to their FTP and all that. Usually they've been very prompt with replies to questions, so I'm just curious if something may be up with Scott, whether he's away or just really swamped with orders.

Same here... I wasn't aware of the dude taking vacation or anything.

Lets collectively all pray Scotts ok.

Hopefully all is well.

That's odd, I sent in a custom order of marquee + control panel on friday and he sent an email saying that it was shipping on sunday. I got an email reciept from USPS today

Maybe he's just busy?

I just talked with Scott this Morning.
He's been crazy busy lately and trying to catch up.
Like me he works a regular day job which means he's buring the midnight oil printing stuff out.
Along with Andy from Ultimarc he's one of the best vendors out there.
Just keep trying to contact him, he will get back to you.

sheesh, I did not think I missed that many emails...  send me a email directly to scott@mamemarquees.com and put byoac in the subject line and I will get back to you promptly.   I have my wife trying to filter and answering all the easy ones and forwarding the rest over to me.  I am guessing anything that comes from byoac is not an easy one :)

again sorry

Scott

No worries, man. I didn't even realize you also had a day job. All the more kudos to you then for your hard work.

EDIT: Quick question. Anyone know if Scott prints Illustrator files as cropped by the artboard document size? I have my images set up that way, and forgot to mention it when I placed my order.

EDIT 2: Oh, and Jack, great work on my control panel blank! (I had the custom order with the 8" height adjustment).

New question about Mame Marquees:

I was perusing my invoice from MM, and I noticed that none of my custom print dimensions were listed. Is this normal for an MM invoice? I entered the custom dimensions on the individual product order pages, and they were there when I completed my order. Can anyone that may still happen to have an MM email invoice comment on whether your custom print dimensions were included on the invoice?

UPDATE: Scott just contacted me and stated that this sort of thing is normal. There is just some sort of disconnect between the info he gets for your order, and what gets put on the invoice.
