Title: Display Issues need help...new video card
Post by: Dagg on July 14, 2007, 11:25:20 pm
I had a geforce4 working in my cab for a few year I think it had some automated setting when I switched to TV mode.

So I found an old geforce3 to use in the short term.  I see the boot up screens ok then the windows xp loading screen ok but when it gets to the login user or desktop its flickering so bad I cannot even make it out.

I tried setting 640x480 and have even tried changing the hertz from 60 to 70 to 75, I think I used to have to do this on my old card but it had a tv setting with a particular hertz next to it.

So what hertz do I need for a jvc 27inch crt over s video?  I really need to get this working I am having a big party Monday and alot of folks looking forward to some arcade fun.

Thanks in advance for an suggestions.

I even downloaded the Nvidia control panel but not seeing anything helpful there

American TVs run at 60Hz (NTSC standard)

do you have the TV and PC monitor on at the same time?

I tried both and I tried 1 only neither worked.

I finally resolved this by swapping the geforce3 ti200 with my wifes geforce 5500fx.
