Very nice, have any more details on the restoration process?

I replaced the big blue cap, fuse block, fuses, made a fuse cover, replaced the bridge rectifier underneath, removed everything and cleaned, sanded and painted with metalic gold spray paint.

Was that from your PP restoration?

Nope, it's one of 3 I just did for a special project that I am working on.

Now you just need some of that silver sticker material and repro the stickers, hehe.
Very nice work!
You dress up the underside too?

Yeah since I had it taken all apart, and there was some rust I sanded away, I did do the bottom as well.

I just covered up the original stickers with masking tape. I like having the origianl stickers and serial numbers on there.

All 3 were completely rebuilt and the ARII's were as well. New caps, transistors, audio amps, sense mods.

So what is this new project?
Just got a cockpit PP for myself to work on, loved the work you did on your standup! Lemme know if you need parts for PP, between my standup and sitdown I have extra pedals, arII, etc..

I was thinking a 6 player marble madness (though you'd have to check around to see who is good at applying side-art  ;D)

I'm guessing tempest, so you are 1/3 right as far as I'm concerned  :)

Yeah, I was just pondering the idea of why the need to restore "three" of everything for one project..... then I noticed markings on the caps and thought to myself..... Star Wars, Space Duel and wasn't sure on the last one - CO/L ?

OK, it's far fetched........ but possible with enough effort. Control panels would have to be interchangable or something. I dunno.... just rambling.

Great job on putting so much detail into the restoration. (whatever it may be)

Well crap, there goes that idea, the most recent pics on your site (other than these posted ones) was a disassembled tempest  ;D

Good luck either way, I'm sure it will turn out just as good as your other restores!

I think Kevin's on to something.  All 3 "big blues" are labeled with the date 7/07, and each one has the initials of a vector game, SD for Space Duel, SW for Star Wars and T for Tempest.

Are there differences in the output of those bricks?  I thought all color vector games used the same brick.  I also see that the middle AR II board is missing 4 caps compared to the others.

Hmmm... what IS he up to??

Yeah I have been spending every minute of my spare time working on this project, but it's coming along quickly now.

Cowbell, did you get the SD cab from Chris in Chicago? Then yep it's from that cab.

Getting ready for fixing mine....

Did you put in new connectors, or are these the originals ?  Did you do any cleaning of the contacts ?
