Title: Power Perfect 360
Post by: Jedirampage on July 13, 2007, 05:25:25 pm
Hello all,

I'm about to complete the wiring phase of my Cabinet (almost done).  However I have run into one small issue.  I have two Perfect 360 Joysticks that I have no idea how to power.  I've seen plenty message boards that tell me how there joysticks are connected. But nothing that gives me a good diagram or any type of direction on how to complete the install.  Any help anyone can give would be appreciated.  Top three ways i've seen them install are.

Molex Connector off a PC Power Supply.
Modified USB connection
Powered off the I-PaC (I have an I-PAC4 which does not have the 5v slot.

Thanks guys

<- Would also like to know (especially the part about Ipac)

also do you connect the L/R/U/D signals just the same as say a competition joystick?

Can you change the shaft in this joystick with a different one like a blue one from a competition joystick?

Hello Jedirampage,

for the Perfect 360 wiring, you connect the 4 direction ports (U/L/R/L) like a regular micro-switch joystick.  The pins connected directly to the encoder inputs.

Then you have 2 additionnal port (gnd + 5v).  You can get your 5v/gnd from the power supply, or usb or PS/2, since they all come from the power supply.

In my case, I brought the gnd/5v/12v from the power supply in the CP box.  THen I used that 5v/gnd to drive my P360.
