Title: Circ Saw and Router advice
Post by: pboreham on July 13, 2007, 04:29:32 am
Hiya,

I shall be buying and using my first Circular Saw and Router this weekend for my cab build.

I am using 3/4" MDF - so would really like some advice on the bits I need.

I will be making the sawboard from the link on the forum.

Not getting the most expensive saw, but would like some advice on what blade I need. I saw in the DIY shop that there were hundreds of circular saw blades, so dont really know where to start - whats best?

I think I know what Router bits I need from Spystyles guide, but any other advice on this?

Thanks very much - and wish me luck!

Paul

For MDF, a reasonable general purpose carbide tipped blade will do, something in the 40 teeth region.

Thanks Chris.

Anybody know in the UK where I can get the 1/16" bit required for the router? Been to B&Q and they have slot cutters, but only 4mm and above :(

Trying online now, but seems futile...

Thanks, Paul
