Selling two new and unused (opened for testing) act labs PC USB guns.
They work great, and are NOT the rubbish GS system.
These are the Original PC USB batch that Act labs made.

would you ship to USA? if so whats the estimated total shipped to 21921; and will these work fine ona VGA monitor running at 640x480 (standard VGA mode)
-
The listing includes postage options to USA/Canada at £19.99 which is around $40.
They are designed to work on VGA monitors. (so 640x480 is perfect).
-
Forgot to mention - I'll also knock $20 ( £10) off the price for any BYOAC member who buys the guns... (just email me and I'll send an adjusted invoice).
-
How difficult is it to set these up so both work (2 player)?
-
Fairly simple if you are using Win Xp.
The VGA passthrough connectors get daisy chained, and both usb guns are plugged in (you don't need drivers, they just get installed as 'mice').
Then you calibrate (button on side of gun), and can use it as a mouse in windows.
Then you just need to configure mame, which now supports dual lightguns. There is an extensive "how to" with screenshots located here:
http://derrick.mameworld.info/lightgun/Act_Labs_Light_Guns_on_XP.html (http://derrick.mameworld.info/lightgun/Act_Labs_Light_Guns_on_XP.html)
Where he walks through configuring mame on a setup with 2 mice and 3 lightguns(!).

Tried finding some information on the difference and why that is. Couldn't find a bead on it though. So um... why?

To clarify, Act labs made a dual gun system years ago called "GS". They are - IMHO - utter crap. Here is why:
The "GS" guns are much older. They come in a dual gun holster.
They also:
Do not work with Windows 2000
Do not work with Windows XP
Connect via the old Gameport connector, so you need a Motherboard with a 'gameport' connector.
*The do NOT work with Mame* (They use a proprietary protocol), no mouse simulation.
The USB version I am selling is plug and play in 2k/xp, and work perfectly with mame.

I got the impression that the GS batch you're saying is rubbish is newer. How many different designs are there?
-
Ah I see...
The GS batch came first and are terrible.
Then there was the PC USB version, at the same time a TV USB version.
The production run of these USB versions died out, then act labs released a 'revised' version of the USB gun, which you can see for sale on their website. I believe functionality is roughly the same, but I recall reading the construction was cheaper (can not remember where).
Don't think I made it clear in my first post...
