A Freecycle post I just saw:
I'm in need of a outside chain link dog kennel for my 2 dogs and i got
a nextel from a freecycler and it dosn't work with boost because the
phone is too old so if anyone has a couple of nextel cell phones that
they no longer need
also my washer has just let go and i need a
washing machine as soon as possable having 4 kids laundry piles up fast
so please if someone can help i would thank you so very much i can pick up this weekend and also a tv stand would be good
also nutra systen food if u don't have use for it anymore because i need to loose 20lbs
Walk the dogs to the laundromat, stop waching TV, lose 20lb!

I signed up for freecycle and it is just full of "want ads". I don't even bother reading the free-cycle emails anymore because of ads like you posted.

Set up a couple mail client rules separating the WANTED from the OFFERs. Makes it much much easier to parse out the crap since 90% of the crap is WANTEDs.
If I weren't a "freecycle official" I'd be tempted to respond with an OFFER: PUNCTUATION email. That thing reads like a runon haiku.

That's one of the neediest Freecycle posts I've ever seen. I recommend setting up a dummy account just to shame her with.

Hey at least she offered to pick it up... there are folks around here that would have asked about free shipping.

I just signed up for Freecycle myself. There's not really much by of way of decent stuff. Mostly offers of baby clothes and one boob who keeps putting up a WANTED for a dual Intel CPU.
I tried to do it at work, but surprisingly the work email blocks the ads, but not the admin mails... hmmm....

How much is the free shipping? Oh, and does it work? ;)
