I have been trying to design the layout for my cabinet. I am working with Mala RC9a.
I would like to have it show my cabinet with the joysticks overlaying the bottom of the video.
I have used both .gif and .png with transparency and its a no go. I can tell the transparency is working fine, but
the video layer is always in the foreground. ( I did try move to back on the video and move to front on the gfx with no apparent change.)
Am I setting up something wrong, or does Mala always place the video snapshot in the foreground?

I believe the video must always be the top layer. loadman is your man though.
Good luck.

Its strange. I can get it working in Atomic with the same settings. So you are probably right.
Transparency features in both Mala and Atomic are good. Mala does seem to want the video in the foreground.
Now I just have to figure out why my video is running at a low bit depth on both mala and atomic.
GameEX and Mamewah display them properly, but I kinda wanted to get a front end that supported LEDWIZ.
I will keep digging and get it working.

In case of Atomic , I don't know what kind of video you are displaying, but Atomic always works in 16bit/pixel mode. So if your video is a 24bit or 32 bit one it is may be the reason.

i think GameEX works with ledwiz too a plugin exists by Headkaze

Thanks Youki for the info on GameEX. I would have captured my xvids in 16 bit if I had of known so many frontends needed it. You guys have done a fantastic job with customizing your software. I am getting closer to finishing the photoshop portion and am looking at features now.
I have Mala, GameEX and Atomic all installed. I will create the same layout for all of them and decide on which one to use when I am finished.
Thanks

Explain me what you want do without thinking about limitation, and i will explain you how to do that the closer as possible.
