Title: Monitor problem

Hello,
I have orion chassis with samsung tube ....problem is that whenever I turn it on ... I can hear these sparking sounds ....why could this be ? I opened the backside and stood there for a few minutes the sounds seems like was coming from the chassis but don't know where it was coming from .....

Turn off your lights and do it again.

I'd check around the neckboard first.

Yes I checked with the lights turned off.It's coming from near the flyback....this sparking sound ugghh :banghead:

if your area has seen a bunch of rain as of late you might have just gotten a little moisture under the anode cap.   Discharge, pull the cup, clean and dry the area under the cup..  getting the rest of the dust of is optional....    ;)
