Hey,
I have an ATI Radion 9250 and am using a DVI to Component dongle to a TV with 480i. The image gets scrambled and the colors are strange. I can hardly see the image of the windows booting up. S-video works fine. Does anyone know how to fix this. PLEASE HELP

Does the card support component out via the DVI connector? You will get crazy colors that dont sync if you feed rgb into a component input since in vga mode he sync is on a seperate pin. I have seen a generic dvi to componant cable that would not work on a video card, it was only suitable for a DVD player which had a menu to change to component on the DVI socket on it.

I do not see the 9250 in the list of cards that work with the DVI to component adapter.
The DVI-to-HDTV adapter can be used to drive YPrPb component output for direct drive of HDTV displays. It can be used for the following graphics board series:
* ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500 Series
* RADEON 9500 Series
* RADEON 9600 Series
* RADEON 9600 PRO PC & MAC Edition (Compatible with PC users only)
* RADEON 9700 Series
* RADEON 9800 Series
* RADEON X800 Series
* RADEON X850 Series
* RADEON X1K Series
* RADEON HD 2000 Series

Yup, that's the problem.
I upgraded my 9250 to a 9550 in order to be able to use the dongle. You'll have to do something similar.

Just to clarify. Are you having problems seeing windows once its booted or while it is booting.
With another monitor, have you set the computer to 640 x 480. You will see windows once it boots but doubtful you will see anything until windows boots up.
