Hello,
Can anyone let me know what "finish sheen" the black should be around the monitor of a Pac-Man?
I'm referring to the wood side area and up by the speaker grille.
Should it be flat black, or a satin? What was the factory sheen?
Thanks in advance!

Mine appears to be a satin finish. It's factory and has never been refurbished. It's definitely not flat black.

Here is a big list of the commercial equivalent of cab colors:

He's wanting to know about the black paint used around the speaker and the monitor, not the yellow outer paint.

Satin finish.
The real deal machines used oil based enamel. It's easier to use a latex paint if you are going to use a roller to apply.
I have used Rustoleum Satin Black Oil based and Krylon Satin Black Latex (water based).
Make sure you use a good foam roller designed for "smooth" or "super smooth" application. A smaller size roller is best.
Good luck,
Alex

It's been a long time coming, but I do believe the end is near. (with the Pac restoration)
Why do I keep starting projects that I know are gonna take me forever?
Thanks again - hope to update you soon.
