Hey!
I haven't got my buttons or joystick yet but im ready to drill the control panel.
When i made a similar thing a while ago, i used a size 32 spade drill bit and the buttons fitted good etc...
Basically im just wondering if all buttons are the same size? So i can drill the holes now and not worry about the buttons not fitting?
Also, what size should the hole be for the joystick?
Thanks!

1.125 inches is the common button size as well as most joysticks. Depending on the depth of the CP some people use a 1.25 inch hole for the joystick shaft. Depends on the specific joystick and its travel and shaft diameter and height.
1.125 inches is a 28 mm spade bit
1.25 inches is a 32 mm spade bit
The buttons threads are commonly 1.10 inches so 1.125 is just right.

Here is a post in my desktop CP thread with a PDF of my button template, be sure to print it FULL SIZE if you use it because the buttos are about as close as they can be and if it prints too small you won't have room for the button nuts.
