Title: Loud sounds in Donkey Kong games

I've built a few games and they all do wierd things in the sound in Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr. and Donkey Kong 3. They could do it on all older nintendo games, but those are the main ones I play.

A really loud buzzy/static type sound comes through the speakers. Most of the time it'll clear up in a few seconds, but it will do it again a few seconds later. Any ideas?

I hope it's not just me, I did a search on the forums, but couldn't find anything.

What version of Mame & romset are you using?

I'll look. It's an older set... I wanna think .8x MAME and .3x rom.

Check for a loose wire on the speakers.  Then make sure you have the correct samples file needed for the version of MAME you are using.
