Title: Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
Post by: sstwistoffate on July 05, 2007, 10:59:29 pm
I'm sure you answer this question, 1000 times a day.  Is it only available through the dreamcast emulator?  Someone said it's not available because of cps3 encoding, but someone the other day told me that was crap because MVC2 was never apart of that.  So...is the game itself unbreakable or is it the fact that the rom just DOESN'T exist?  And if it doesn't exist, how come noone has dumped the rom yet?

The thing about CPS3 Encoding is a bunch of crap. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is NAOMI based, not CPS3...

Namoi isn't emulated yet because the hardware is still rather expensive.  There's some encryption/hardware lock too, but it isn't horrible.

Dreamcast or emulator or Xbox are your only options at this time for playing as close to it gets for Marvel vs Capcom 2 arcade goodness.

MvC2 is also on PS2, but I think it's about $50 used on ebay.

I have it on the PS2 and theres something about it thats not quite as polished as the XBox or DC versions. This is why I excluded it from the recommendation, still if you have a PS2 its one of the ways to play the game.
