How can I remap the exit key in ZSNES to use the esc key?
-
If you double-click "zsnesw.exe", then the program should start and place you in a menu. I believe you can go into the Misc/Game Keys menu and set the EXIT key mapping.
-
right but you can't use the esc key in there. I think ihave to do it through the file itself but don't know how
-
think I found it here

OK where can i find UncleT’s instructions on setting up Zsnes? It works fine by itself but I can't seem to get it to work from MaLa. I also could use some help with Fusion for sega and Z26 for atari.

You can find UncleT's instructions for MaLa here:

Direct link:

You can also try to use the MaLa Hotkeys to remap your ESC to the key needed by ZNES.
Or remap ESC to ALT + F4 to close ZNES.

Thanks swindus :)
Hey swindus, you might want to link to the document directly in case I update it with some corrections. I believe you have v1.3 and v1.4 currently exists:

thanks, looks like I might have to reorganize some files and paths, oh well
-
Try this out.
First set everything up with the controls how you like it.
Then open up zsnesw.cfg
Change guioff=0 to 1.
; ----
; -- GUI --
; ----
; Disable GUI (0 = NO, 1 = Yes)
guioff=1
This should cause it to exit the game to mala skipping the gui.

I found out its a bug in the latest mala RC9 beta, hopefully it will be fixed soon.
EDIT.....the bug in maLa has been fixed
