Title: Games like North & South and Rampart?(simple strategy)
Post by: AE35 on July 04, 2007, 01:06:58 pm
Hey all!

I'm looking for more games like North & South and Rampart...you know, simple
arcade-like 'strategy'-games. They don't need to be arcade, but it's preferred ;D
Console is OK too:)

Any advice?

Nicholas

I had loved north and south on my Atari ST  :)

Not sure we can categorize it as same kind of game , but i love Advance War on GameBoy Advance.

I don't know if this qualifies but there's Risk for the Sega Genesis.

I'm playing Advance Wars now, and wow, that's great! Really great!

Risk qualifies...I just never liked it:)

Are there any Atari ST emulators? I hate the Amiga one, winUAE.

Keep 'em coming ;D ;D

And if you like Advanced wars, give Fire Emblem a try.  It's more a 'fantasy' storyline, but a very fun game to play.

Thanks for the heads-up on Fire Emblem...but I hate fantasy :)

I like tanks!

Space Fractal, I never tried Laser Squad even though I played Amiga a lot. I'll have to
check it out. Er du egentlig ikke fra Danmark?

Ja, det er helt korrekt. Tror muligt at jeg da har set dig hos et andet forum (playright.dk eller spille-maskiner.dk?).

Laser Sqard (http://www.lemonamiga.com/?mainurl=http%3A//www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php%3Fid%3D1318) is a turn based game based in a sci-fi theme. Im are that one which dosent normally play this type of game.

If RISK counts, you need to get Allied General, Panzer General 1&2  and Pacific General on the cabinet.

All Hail SSI  :notworthy:

Sidenote... is it just me or is Rampart absolutely impossible in single player mode after the first two stages?
