I've got a problem running virtua tennis multiplayer.
I added 3 virtual joysticks, all three with 2 axes and 8 buttons. They all work in the input configuration program of Virtua Tennis, and when testing them in windows. When i try to multiplayer in the game only the first player (none of the virtual sticks) is recognized. What gives?
Thanks in advance!

that's really strange. in the config program, you set them....do you have to save the configuration or anything? I kinda started the whole ppjoy virtua tennis thing....but I don't remember...it's been a LONG time since I did this.
sorry...but if they're recognized, it doesn't make any sense that they wouldn't work in the game. saving the config is all I can think of.... :dunno

yup, i saved the mappings to an .ini file, i can see that it works both in the vtconfig as well as in the windows gaming controllers screen, i keep it running when i enter virtua tennis, and still it only sees P1 ingame.
im like 12 reboots from where i started, i hope i just did something stupidly wrong.
thanks anyhow :)
--edit--
I just tried out nhl98 (windows) with ppjoy, that works, so the problem lies (logically) with virtua tennis. Are there any game settings i should alter?

Anyone please :(

I guess that you have also run the VT config program (VTCONFIG.EXE) to set controls?
You should run this with all PPkey virtual joysticks running. Otherwise the game won't recognise your extra players.

If you do a search in this forum you will find the proper setup for this, cos l had the same issue a very long time ago. lm positive that the axis needs to be 4 , buttons dont matter. make sure you config it properly in Vtennis and save before you exit .

yep l can confirm this as well . they need to be running in the background before you can use the setup for your joys for the game

thanks for all the help guys, it seems the problem lay entirely with the specific version of virtua tennis i was using, now its working fine!

What versions of Virtual Tennis were you using? Which one worked? Which one didn't? This will be good to know for future reference... Thanks.

I'm haveing problems with PPjoy.
I download it, installed it, but don't know much where to go from there.
I try to install a virtuall device, but I can't configure it. I hit the "scan button" and try to press a button (for buttons) and move the stick for axis, but nothing but "invalid" beeps.
I've searched and found a seperate program to make an ini file with teh buttons, etc. That worked and I put the ini file in the ppjoy folder.
Now what? do you have to keep ppjoy running (i.e. in the startup folder) in teh background? Maybe a batch file to run ppjoy and the ini file together?
Is there somethign else I need running in the background?
I've looked through the net and on this site, and still can't figure it out. ???
