Title: Xbox to Jamma reviewed
Post by: kjoel0123 on July 03, 2007, 10:49:47 pm
I just purchased this jamma adpater kit 2 weeks ago on ebay for $65 and played a bunch of games on it. Video and controls are great. Sound is only 5 watts and is very low even when I turn up the pot all the way. All in all it works greatexcept for the low sound. Once I turn it up it crackles. Any ideas on how to get the sound clearer and louder? Maybe install some type of amp??

Does this hook up the the monitor also, or do I have to still use a tv? Also do you wire in the power supply to the harness also?

It connects to either a tv or an arcade monitor, I have it connected to an arcade monitor. It comes with jamma wiring, however I used my exisitng wiring.

I bought an X-box to Jamma adapter several weeks ago from an ebay seller called yaton6262.
It drives the video and sound but none of the controls work at all.
This is what I bought:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=007&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=170109118213&rd=1&rd=1

He claimed it was a Time Master device when in fact iti something called an X-timer. I have been able to get very little info on this.
Which do you have?

That's strange about the stuff you guys bought from yaton -- he's usually (used to be?) very good about service.

I have not purchased one however I have another idea are you sure you have it hooked to a sound output channel and not a sound signal out?

what I mean is may that is a signal line and needs to be hooked into a reciever/amp and then you hook the speakers to the reciever/amp.

like an rca out of the jamma to the IN jack on the rear of a suuround reciever and the spaekers connect to the reciever becuase if the jamma board does not have an onboard audo amp not sure where it would get the sound strengh from.
