Title: monitor wiggles trouble
Post by: Kangum on July 03, 2007, 10:33:59 pm
think something hit something inside my monitor during my move last year that causes my picture to shake very very slightly. its one of those things thats really hard to notice. you use it for awhile and your eyes start to hurt. you really pay attention to the picture and see a tiny shake.

the h and v roll is not fixing it. also if i increase the screen realastate about a half an inch it stops but it creates a small tear in the lower left corner.

monitor is a standard happ vision cga.

i have run out of time to mess with it any longer just curious if anyone here could shed some light to what may have happened to cause this and if its fixable.

Could be something as simple as a cold/broken solder joint somewhere on the chassis or neckboard.

Could have broken a capacitor off somewhere.

Could have knocked the sync out of whack just a bit.

Could be none of the above.

sigh. nothing seems broke. i think something on the back of the van turned on of those metal rings on the neck. i took it out of the cab to make the cab lighter.

pretty soon this cab wont be around anymore. im tired of messing with it. looks great but monitor is just pissing me off. it looked great for about a month then after i moved it just gives you headaches after a few games.
