Title: Typhoon 2001 Slowness - OpenGL Problem?
Post by: whynotpizza on July 02, 2007, 06:08:08 am
Hi,

Anyone try the Tempest remake called Typhoon 2001? Very cool, but am having problems getting it to work properly in my configuration.

http://typhoon.kuto.de/download.html

OS: Vista
Hardware: P4 3.2Ghz Dual Core, 2GB 800Mhz RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS 512GDDR2 Video Card
Video Display Driver: NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM)

Problem: Slowness on Video display

According to their website, Vista works fine just as long as the system has OpenGL on Video:

> The graphics card is the most important thing - it (or better, its drivers) should provide

Well, mine is painfully slow.

This is a new card and a new system, any thoughts as to how to validate OpenGL working properly in my configuration? Should I load the latest NVIDIA drivers instead of the standard Microsoft equivalent drivers in Vista?

Any pointers are appreciated.

Resolved. Go figure, new Display driver updates fixed the issue.

I loaded latest NVIDIA drivers in Vista and whoalla. :)
