Title: Need help replacing joystick shaft on u360

I ordered a u360 balltop for andy at ultramarc and was accidently sent a baton version.  He quickly sent me out a replacement shaft however I'm having a little trouble figuring out how to replace it.  I've removed the shaft and spring that its attached to, but can't figure out how to replace the actually shaft as seen below.  Can anyone help?

well ive gotten it off, I figured out you have to take the little ring off.  Now I just have to figure out how to get it back on.

And I figured it out, just needed to use a little force :)  This can be closed.
