Title: arcade at Busch Gardens (VA)
Post by: vintagegamer on June 26, 2007, 05:46:25 pm
Any reason why they need so many of the Fast and Furious game?

Did you miss the arcade in Italy near Roman Rapids, or is it not there anymore?

Hmm- I don't recall seeing one, but it is possible that I missed it.  I will see if it's on our map thingy we brought home.

Were there some classics in there?

Heck, I missed both of them!

I remember finding the Hospitality House.... then I remember waking up in the hotel room.   :dunno

I have only been to the Buch Gardens in Florida and that was over 15 years ago.    I don't remember an arcade but I do remember the parrots and the beer.  Maybe the beer made me remember parrots. It was a great place back then.

 ;D ;D

We drove down from NY the first year the Loch Ness Monster was opened.....the damned thing was closed down the day we were there.  And just to make me feel old, the year I took my kids down there, they were celebrating the 25th anniversary of the thing.  Nobody wanted to ride it anymore so I could ride it as much as I wanted :P

But amusement parks are great places for vintage games.  Last time I was there, Cedar Point had a huge arcade right on the main strip that was filled with very old to new machines.

You can link them together and race against each other.

I checked the map we had from the park, and in the Italy section there are pavilions shown for "games", but I only remember stuff like skee ball and ring toss games there.  I think I may have hit the only remaining 'arcade' there.  If someone knows otherwise, please feel free to chime in.

Sadly I spent most of my time in the "Land of the Dragons" section, which was the area that had rides for my 2-year old daughter..  :(

The arcades there haven't had any classics since I've been going there. Have had yearly tickets since 2001, just to give you an idea of how long they've been without good games.

Not a bad game, either, though definitely a soft arcade racer.
