Well, ok...for the PC as well, but they'll work on the Wii as well. This may be the best set of games yet. If you've not tried out Hangaroo, you simply must. I refuse to tell you why...but it's one of the funniest games I've played!

The Deal or No Deal, and Who Wants to Be A Millionaire options are good too. Love the mini-golf, and ...well...like I said, am just very, very impressed with this collection.

Either the link is wrong, or the site is already gone. :(
-
Works fine for me.
Thanks
-
No it doesn't. I get a internal server error 500 when using that link.
My guess would be that it only works for people with a spaces.live accoutn or something.
(Using ie7 btw)
-
Works just fine for me and I'm not signed in to anything.
-
works fine for me using Firefox
-
Well it works on the wii, but not ie7, which is just stupid seeing as how it's a m$ site.

Ding, ding

I've got to admit I'm baffled - I'm running IE7 and it loads just fine for me off Windows XP.
-
No it doesn't.
Yes it does.

PEBKAC?

Works fine on both IE and Firefox here as well using both Vista and XP.
Go ahead, tell me it doesn't. You're wrong.
-
Still not working for me, but regardless, I appreciate the link.
Once I put it on my wii, of course, it worked and the games on the page are top-notch.
The page layout is a little lacking though... Perhaps someone could host a more wii-friendly one?
-
This also works GREAT on the PSP.
Hawk
-
Works fine for me also. The snowbells game is just to cute. My kid thinks the rabbit is a cat though.
-
Hey those are pretty fun,...to play those on wii?? u use opera browser i guess? not sure yet..my wii isnt arriving until this weekend.
thx

Oh great, that is just my luck. The internet browser was free until this month. Now it's 500 points. Just got my WII today.
-
Eww, that sucks, I presumed it would always be free, part of the Wii package.

I was going to add "it was free until July", then saw the post above Glenns stating the same thing. In that case, NEVER MIND! :dizzy:
The first version would not have been worth 500 points, in my opinion, but for the revised one the cost does not seem so bad. They made a lot of nice changes to the browser (at the request of those who tried it out).
-
Hey
What exactly will the wii browser do??? I mean i can go online but whats the big deal with that? why pay for it when I already pay my cable co to go online with this puter.
thx

It's a fair question...I will do my best to answer, others please chime in with anything I may miss:
1.) Online gaming! Pokemon Battle Revolution is only the first of many forthcoming: Mario Strikers Charged, the new football games (I think - I'm pretty sure Madden 08 is Wifi), Super Smash Brothers, and others will allow you to play games against people across the world. As I've said before, if all of them are as easy and flawless to connect as Pokemon, this is going to be a fun year!
2.) With the internet channel, you can play the above flash games, obviously, through the Wii, using your Wiimotes
3.) Google videos (as well as others) that are flash driven are now also viewable using the Wii internet
4.) Sharing Miis with Wii friends via your Wii codes.
5.) For just the fun of it. Now you too can check weather, sports scores, etc. on your TV instead of your PC.
-
You don't need the Wii Browser to play games online or to send Mii's to your friends. You can also check the weather channel without the Wii browser.
RTSDaddy2 hit on what appears to be points on why you should hook your Wii up to a network at all, but some of his points have nothing to do with the Wii Browser. If you are going to pay for the Wii browser, it simply allows you to surf the net from your Wii. Play games like RTS mentioned, and do general surfing. There's no need to pay for it technically, but for $5, I'd say its worth it.
-
He's right - I need to go back and reread my owner's manual I guess...I forgot how to work my Wii. :laugh2:

Hey
Well I guess some good things about it however.......why play flash games when you have many games on the wii?? I am yet to play a flash game that I have played more than 5 minutes. yea ok at first but 99% of them get old fast.
Flash movies..never watched any so I cant comment on that...do they have full length movies?
Internet on my 42" lcd that would be cool..but i think a keyboard is needed.....not the same typing with a wii mote....i have heard there is akeyboard coming...
thx

I definitely agree that most flash games lose their charm in 5 mins or less, but there are a handful that I find myself going back and playing over and over. I never used the Wii for flash video, but I've done some light web surfing with it from my bed and it works well enough. I was surprised how well the on screen keyboard worked to put in URLs, but yeah... I would NOT want to do any typing-intensive tasks with it. Posting on a forum would be out of the question IMO, but for general surfing, it's pretty cool.
I've only used the free Wii browser thus far though, so :dunno
-
Hey
Is there truth to the wii keyboard? that would make surfing much better. Also what flash games are worth playing? out of the sites I have seen none really interested me... although I am hooked on Zelda for the wii right now..maybe once I beat that game. (IT TAKES FOREVER)......almost too long.
Jim
-
Zelda TP is pretty easy, I beat it in around 40 hours. But, I didn't get a lot of the stuff, Magic Armor was as advanced as I went.
-
Once again, I agree with the typing thing too - I don't know for sure about the keyboard...the links I stay current with bring it up from time to time, then it disappears again. Who knows? Last I heard they were planning one, but that's been a while back.
As far as flash games go, I do love a good round of Hangaroo. I don't think this one's flash, but if you like word games, Chicktionary is sort of interesting too, in a rather odd way (before anybody goes to grab a beer and look for it, these are chickens, not women, that fill the screen - sorry to disappoint...although I must admit it could have made the game more
exciting.)
-
Hi, I'm the guy who put together this flash website. I want to eventually make a real website just for this instead of a msn site. In the mean time you can email suggestions to emailhyrum@gmail.com . If you find a cool flash game you want on there let me know and I'll see what I can do. Thanks for your support.

The things one can find via Google when one wishes hard enough... ;D
For those of you here who love puzzle games, and may be purchasing Picross DS for that system, I've got two words for you....Wii Picross! Check it out here at:
http://www.wiipicross.com
They are not affliated with Picross DS or the Nintendo Wii...just happened to design a program that does picross on the Wii and allows you to create your own puzzles for upload for the Wii as well.
I have only tried this out via PC so far, so I do not know how it looks on the Wii, but once again, as I have said before, as flash developers discover what CAN be done with the Wii, more and more innovative programs will be out. Enjoy it - I know I sure will be!
