Due to recent priorities, the Arcade Art Library has changed ownership. I know have primary responsibility over the site.
So, what I'd like to get is a feel for what people would like to see. Any direction, site design/construction, capabilities ideas would be appreciated.
Or, encourage more of the same. :)

i think it was being handled exceptionally well, i cant think of anything i'd like to see change.

One thing I would like to see is an option to see a larger version of the image. A more pressing issue right now is that I am getting a 500-Internal Server Error when I try to navigate the site. When I can see the site I might get a few more ideas for you.

Not sure why you would get that. Have you just tried a direct link to the frontpage: http://localarcade.com/arcade_art/

Last two times I tried using the site I'd only download a few hundred bit file that did nothing.
I'd like to see more artwork there (of course)...and a completed Centipede marquee.

That was when it was at the old site. The hack had erased all the main images. This one is complete. Go get the ones you tried last time. Let me know if things are still missing.

That really isn't all of my problem. You... contribute... now. :)

To me AAL ist very good as it is :)
The only thing.....I don't understand why people upload their WIP? Work could be continued by others if they would provide their scanned files, too.

The site is working fine now. I would like to see a page where you could view all the new submissions. An alphabetic listing (choose a letter) and grouping by game would be nice as well.

It would be nice to have a "separate" Stencil Files section. For members that would like to contribute those types of files to the collection. Right now, they're lumped into the side-art section. Also, to make the site more comprehensive, perhaps a section for cabinet specs like Jacobud's, and a section for color codes.
But alas, it is an Artwork site, so offering all the above might change it into more of a total restoration, one-stop shop site. Which might not go well with the intent of the site. :dunno

I'll say something that I don't think many people want to hear - but I wouldn't mind paying a small fee. Not just towards hosting fee's but for work I download.

I agree. But not per dl, perhaps a flat fee.....to help. But would the artists want something if fees are charged? Maybe that would encourage more artwork?
Very good suggestion.

You start paying artists for the vectoring and you might be stepping on legal toes.

So why not add a paypal-donate-button? Not for the artists but for maintenance costs.

There is one, but it goes directly to dreamhosts

Yeah, I haven't adjusted that yet.

i would like to see the "new images" page have the latest 20 images, rather than just a couple. I dont like missing new additions lol :D
aside from that, its pretty perfect :P

Good show, ol' chap.
One thing I noticed today when searching for Frosty's tutorial: http://www.google.com/search?q=vector+tutorial+frostillicus
Clicking the first link (http://localarcade.com/arcade_art/details.php?image_id=223&mode=search) brings you to the correct page in the AAL, but clicking either download link returns a message "Hotlinking is not allowed" instead of letting you download the file.
The fix was to click one of the breadcrumb links on top ("Reference & Templates"), then clicking on the tutorial and then the download link. This is annoying and probably confusing for googlers...
