So yeah I am excited about going to the one in Milwaukee. I didn't even know it was comming to Milwaukee till I read it on one of the boards. So basically what should I look forward to and what should I be aware of? I wanna buy a cab to Mame that can hold a 27'' monitor, Im a big newb but I can takt it slow. The great thing is I live like a lil over a mile from the State Fair Grounds too!

Take an extension cord so you can test the games.
Be ready to pay the taxes, fees and all that.

If you are looking for a cab to Mame, then you probably won't have to worry about Mr. Do! very much. He mostly seems to deal in mainline classic games, mame cabinets (already made), and brand new stuff.
I was only a few feet away from him almost the entire time at one auction (he stuck with the auctioneer, who was totally in on it). Everything he bid on at that auction was classic, new, or MAME.

Also. Use the preview period to warn EVERYONE about him. And don't be afraid to yell "That guy is bidding on his own game". over and over if need be.

If you watch him closely you will see that he works for SuperAuctions. I don't think he owns the games any more than I think the carnival operator owns the ferris wheel. The auctioneer will order him around and he will move games and get other game ready if/when the auctioneer says so. Just my observations.

I don't think you will see any monitors. Sometimes there's a few parts sold but they are mostly vidgame PCB (printed circuit board).

I bought my cabinet from Superauctions in Milwaukee. It went for way too much, but I was very annoyed with the thought of waiting around 2 hours for another suitable cabinet to come up.
Be warned: Lots of people dislike the guy who runs Superauctions. He has been known to accept "phantom bids". ie- point as if he saw a bidder, when in fact there was none. Be on your toes. It goes very fast and can be hard to see.

Which guy would this be? The blond wussy looking guy, or the old, bald guy?

THe wussy blond guy at least pretends to see the bids. The old bald guy doesn't even bother to pretend. He will keep upping the price while he isn't even looking at the crowd, and then turn around and see no one bid at all, and then drop down to $50 from $300.
But really, even with all the shilling and stupid auctioneer tricks. Just know the value of what you are buying, and don't pay more. You can't go wrong that way.
I have also noticed something. The popularity of MAME has really raised the price of the crappiest cabinets. Used to be lots of stuff could be had for $25. Not so anymore.

Part of the problem with auctions is that the auctioneers speak in auctioneese! I've been to a few auctions in my life, only one arcade auction, and I find it very difficult to know exactly how much the auctioneer is going for.
"Starting at $300! How about $350! $400!"
I'm guessing this is just how auctions are run, but damn...

How can i find out about arcade auctions in my area? I'm on the West Coast (Seattle) and Superauctions doesn't cover that area (looks like that might be a good thing). Is there a listing of upcoming arcade auctions that covers the whole US?

My friends and I noticed this when Superauctions was in Mesquite (near Dallas). They did this a lot. They also fed us the usual crap about how this game or that game "went for twice that in <insert location of last week's auction here>."
I kind of got the impression that Mr. Do Rag works for Superauctions as well. When a certain cabaret cab had a problem with the monitor and it needed adjusting, he hopped behind it and started fiddling with it, and nobody said anything to him even though the auctioneer had warned people not to get caught behind the cabinets or they would be prosecuted.
