These looked good at the time and I had som US$ sitting in paypal so I bought 2 of them.
They are NOS from the 80s i think.. The pictures don't look that good but they are in A! brand new condition.
What are they specifically good for?
I thought of mounting both on one CP so I could play some tank games etc. Maybe with a spinner in between for tron etc.
I need advice, jibes, resented remarks to inspire me.
BTW shipping from the states was charged at US$92 (doh). They weigh a ton each!!

Yeah I bought one as well. More just to have on the shelf for a future project than anything else. I guess you could use it for Tron but it's an 8-way stick so the diagonals might give you problems in the light cycles.
They are a nice stick and very well constructed though. I'm sure it would work well for flight games.

It may or may not be good for flight games; most of them used analog sticks. For a good list, look at controls.dat (http://fe.donkeyfly.com/controls/controls.php) for the x-way triggersticks. To list few games that probably will work well:
Zaxxon
Tron ("4-way")
Xenophobe
Vindicators (dual 2-way vertical)
Assault (dual 4-way)
Total Carnage (dual 8-way)
Also, it looks like happs is selling basically the same sticks (http://www.happcontrols.com/joysticks/50997000.htm), in trigger only, 1 button, and 2 buttons models. Probably for a little more than you paid, though. ;)

BTW, these were for a MACH 3 game (which you can run with the laserdisc background using daphne)

Yeah, that's obvious given the dual buttons (which are big and round, vs the little kitschy black button on earlier games). That and US vs THEM. (Same manufacturer, I think.) And Cobra Command, though I think it used a one-button version. Another game is Satan's Hollow. OH, and Gorf. And, yes, Happ is selling them for MUCH more, though I only see the one-button version over there.

The big-button flightsticks were also used on Mad Planets, FWIW.
