Title: Multipede Request
Post by: FrizzleFried on June 22, 2007, 05:54:04 pm
Alright...so I have a CENTIPEDE marquee in Adobe Illustrator format.  I want to change it from CENTIPEDE to "MULTIPEDE" but I have absolutely no "Illustrator-fu".   Seems like it MAY be a somewhat easy job for some of you kickass artists.  Anyone willing to take up this challenge and bust out an AI file that looks like the CENTIPEDE marquee but reads MULTIPEDE (or more preferably "MULTIPEDE PLUS" or "MULTIPEDE+"...but beggars can't be choosers...straight ole MULTIPEDE would rock as well.

EDIT: All hell,  the only AI file is of a custom Centipede marquee that says "MAME"...and it's too large to attach here.   I do have a 5MB CENTIPEDE marquee bit it's not a vector file... if anyone wants to take this up and needs these files,  PM me your email address and I will email em over.

HELP!

Thanks!

See this thread (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=29797.0). I've been looking for this in vector format for a while, but no luck so far. Maybe someone can trace it.

That version would work...I'd actually PREFER one that looks exactly like the Centipede marquee but with Multipede...not a mixture of the two...BUT again, beggars can't be picky.

If only I had some experience with Adobe Illustrator.

PM your email address if you are interested in the MAME centipede .AI file...here is what it looks like:

Hell...I can even try some things myself if anyone has an .AI file of the original CENTIPEDE marquee...the only one i have found is incomplete.  I DO have some high-res raster images of the marquee...hmmm...

AFAIK, there's no complete vector version of the centipede marquee.
if you have HiRes scans of the multiped marquee you can start tracing it  :applaud: :applaud:, or share it  :applaud: :applaud:, this way one day the vector vcersion will finaly pop out

I have absolutely no idea how to "trace" it...anyone have any lessons on how to do such a thing...

I have neither the software nor the skill to do a proper job. I tried to do some tracing quite a while back and it came out like crap, so I gave up.

I am not sure if CENTIPEDE (or a custom version) would be the artwork to TRAIN on converting to vector.

...so I ask again...

Are there any TALENTED artists out there willing to convert a CENTIPEDE marquee to a MULTIPEDE marquee.  I can supply a "MAME" modified version of the marquee in vector format and/or a high-res raster scan of the original CENTIPEDE marquee to modify.

Thanks!

I would also be interested in a Multipede marquee as I plan on going that route eventually.
