Title: 25" flatscreen monitor bezel needed!
Post by: Osirus23 on June 20, 2007, 02:52:54 pm
I posted this in the video forum but it didn't get much attention.

I need a monitor bezel for a Billabs VeriFlat 25" monitor. The bezel I ordered from Happ is for a convex screen and doesn't fit with the flat screen at all.

Is there anywhere that sells these?

Thanks

I'd just use black matte board and make your own.  I've never seen a plastic one that fits a flatscreen...

I recall seeing a flatscreen Happs Bezel before.  Don't recall the part # though.

You might try PM'ing the guy in this thread if he's still around (see post #68):

Ahh, looks like Happs only has a 27" bezel.  Not sure if this will work for you but here's the info:

Part # 49-1857-00
 DIM: 25.65" x 23.87"
Inside DIM:  21.19" x 16.13"

Just curious which monitor model is this?  The only 25" model I see on their site (BL24C90T) is a 24.8" curved digital multisync.  Is that the same one?  Please post a review of it if so!

Wow, not even a mention of it on their site.  :censored:
Is it digital or analog? (ie does it have an on screen menu?)  You should definitely post a review in the monitor forum.  Nice to see more 25" monitors coming out.

They told me it was a new model when I ordered it. I haven't hooked it up yet I'm still looking for a bezel to finish my cab.  :(

If the Happs one above doesn't work with some trimming, your best bet IMO is to get some black foam board and put some tinted/smoked glass in front (or greylite plexiglass).

Or check out the sticky at the top of this thread for the $2 bezel solution.  Hide that behind some smoked glass or tinted plexi and it should look fine.

You can get JuiceBox at Zellers, Liquidation World and Wal-Mart in Ontario for between $7-25 each depending on sales. LW has them for $15 all the time, Z has them for $15 most of the time and then $7.50 when the clearance toys are 50% off.

Not sure if this an option for you, but you can also mask off the desired visible screen area and paint the inside of lexan plexi (or glass) with black paint.  I rounded the corners slightly on mine and the result looks great.

I believe I have a Happs 27 inch flat screen bezel. I bought several when we were going with arcade monitors. Now that we chose the LCD path they are just gathering dust.

Can't remember what they cost.

How's $15 plus actual USPS shipping sound?
PM me if you are interested.
