Hi guys,
I am currently finalising the setup on my arcade PC and setting up my favorite game list with Mala (Awesome FE! :applaud:). Anyway I am using Mame v.106 and have a problem with a couple of games (defender & TMNT so far) that causes the screen to move to the left of the monitor. All my other games that I have loaded on are fine as well as the FE....all central. I have done a search but couldn't find anything (bit hard to explain in a search). Would anyone know what the go is?
I am building an Aussie lowboy (nearly done) which I will put up in the projects soon....it came to a bit of a standstill in the last few months.
Any help would be great....I certainly know there is plenty going around on here!! ;)
Cheers,
Simon.

PC hardware and monitor? Are you running native?

Hi, thanks for the reply. It is a P4 2.2ghz PC running a 21" PC monitor. Not sure about the native side of it???

Try forcing resolution to 640x480 or 800x600 for those two games and see if that helps.

Thanks I will give that a go when I get home and let you know.

Seems he's just running DD or D3D so that behavior is weird. I don't use MaLa, but I can't think it would do anything like that.

Woohoo for another lowboy build!! :P
Can't wait for the project thread...

Hi, just trying to do what you suggested.....can you please tell me where to adjust this? Is there somewhere in the mame.ini file or do I do it through the game settings when the game is playing? Sorry to be a pain! :-[

You can then create a tmnt.ini file in your mame/ini directory and add one line to set the resolution. Like this:
resolution 640x480

Awesome, thank you very much, the 800x600 work perfectly! The great thing about things like this going wrong is that you learn more and more about how all of this is setup. Priceless info, thanks again. :notworthy:

I have a Radion video card that would force certain games off to the right side. I had to tweek the 3D setting on the card itself to get the games centered on screen.
