Title: MagStik Plus...troubles?
Post by: btp2k2 on June 14, 2007, 01:21:51 am
Hey guys,

I am firing up my Mag Stiks for the first time, and all I hear from my wife is how stiff they feel and she keeps dying in Gradius. Personally, I don't feel it....

Does anyone have any opinions on the MagStik Plus? Not really sure what's up, but they do seem to have quite a different feel from the T-Sticks that I replaced.

T-Stik and Mag-Stik are two different joysticks with different feel.

Well I realize that....but I was asking if anyone had an opinion of the MagStik...is that common to feel stiff like that, so on so forth....

I think I solved the stiff-ness issue....seems she wasn't able to hit the diagnals cause she was still in 4-way mode.

Does seem to have a way shorter throw than any stick I have ever used though...not sure I like that so much.

Yeah, the "stiffness" issue was definitely the wrong mode. She turned the stick to try it out and never turned it back to 8-way, so she couldn't hit the diagnals in Gradius...

Problem solved

That was one thing I sometimes didn't like about T-sticks: I forgot to switch it! However, the mag-sticks, that's what they're 'mag' for. The return. I liked the throw of the T's - though could even be shorter for me. Have you tried both? If so, is the throw different between them?
