Hi,
Are the little metal "sleeve things" that slide onto the micro switches called "quick connects" or do they have another name that online shops would call them? I can't find anything searching for quick connects so i guess they have another name....or im way off and they're not even called quick connects! lol.
Thanks,
Lemoe

they are called quick disconnects.

Thanks, that brought up a bit more :)
Are they also called crimp disconnects? or are they different?
And does anyone know a good place to order them from in the UK? Sorry i'm asking so much, i just cant find an english seller or an american seller that doesnt charge $25 postage!
Thanks again,
Lemoe

I have hear them called crimp connects by folks in the UK. While there may be a better local source, I believe that Andy at Ultimarc stocks them.
Cheers

solder!

Yeah Ultimarc sells a whole kit, with all the wire you need, quick disconnects and a crimper tool....I think it was like 20 bucks USD....pretty good deal if I recall....I spent about 40 bucks on the crimper along locally

I saw them in Halfords last weekend: there are a couple of different boxes, some mixed sizes, but one box of about 25 I think, looked to be the right size, for only a few quid. They are with the fuses and stuff, if that's any use to you.

Ultramarc also now sells just the clips by themselves and not in the kit. He just added in last week.

The cherry switches on happ buttons take the .187 disconnects not the .25 disconnects.

solder!
Absolutely. I've found that properly soldered connections hold up a lot better than quick disconnects. Plus, it's cheaper. So, hmm, do I go with the cheaper and stronger option, or the one that is 30 seconds quicker when I want to take the control panel apart?

The above info is buried somwhere in FAQ.
Can't beat the price this page offers. I paid for 200 qd's something like $6.50 including shipping!

Good to know , I bought buttons and tried the .25 disconnects they were a little big so I was going to solder (skakey hands) but I'll just get the .187 disconnects now
