Q. Is the Mame arcade game with the control panel just as good as the coin operated games of the 80's?
-
Better, because I'm of drinking age now.

And there's no one giving you crap for redeeming your tickets for a fairy princess tiara... Not that I ever got one of those, or anything... um... yeah... I gotta go...
-
yes, because if the game restarts because of power failure, it won't cost you another quarter!
-
much better, now I can have access to the coin entry ( I have always wondered about this back then ). ;)
-
That all depends, how good are you at building?

:laugh2: so true :laugh2:
Now, being serious ...... I made my cabinet to have an internal skeleton of 2x4 beams. The thing is rock solid so having friends over beating up on the controls and shaking the machine around a bit does not cause me to worry at all. If I made it with a thin outer shell of wood and decided to staple the joints together then I would be much more concerned.
Of course if you spill a drink all over it then I would be highly annoyed ... however, in the true arcades I would simply keep playing. >:D
