Hey,
Check out this little arcade video that I put together.
Download it, save it, copy it, upload it on youtube, do whatever you
want to it, spread the word, but just WATCH IT.
And tell me what you think.
It's in Window's Media format.
It's called "I Wanna Go Back..."

Thanks

Hi Brent,
I only got to watch the one about the Asteroids machine and it wrecked my day. I can't believe with all those people standing around that noone wanted that cab. :(
-
The 1 legged kid playing DDR was impressive!
:applaud:
-
That Seinfeld is painful to watch.
-
Nice video, although I'm about to take some cyanide it's so depressing. :laugh2:
Where'd you get all those stills?
-
Looks like you grabbed all the Peter Hirschberg pix...
-
'Fat kid on DDR': that was a dude. Funny bail. You know, Chris Farley was like that. Diet reigns supreme.
'I wanna go back': bout half way through, that is a pinball machine. Those places must be back east or something, cos they were stuck in the 70s, interior design-wise. Eek.

I remember seeing that one when the show was on prime time. Classic.
-
That episode reminds me of a time in college. I set my favorite pair of sunglasses on the roof of a friend's car and forgot about them. He pulls out of the parking lot and we hear them slide off onto the road. He stops, I jump out, and am about to go grab them. In an unbelievable Costanza moment, this giant semi truck is coming down the road. Not an SUV, not a pickup, but a friggin' semi. You know the rest of the story...

Watch out, we have a rocket scientist in our midst ...
If you want to actually say something interesting, let us know WHICH pinball machine it was.

I got the pics from this post right here:

It's an 'in-joke' cheffo, and you're not in. heh heh heh, christ, don't be a goofball. Maybe it would've made more sense if I'd said, 'THAT is a pinball machine', though anyone who's watched it would probly know what I was talking about. Or maybe it just slipped by them.

Right ....
-
Are you talking about the gargantuan pin? That one took me by surprise.
What's with the one pic with Space Harrier? While it's a nice pic, it's a bit different from the rest of the photos. This isn't really a criticism of the video, it's just an observation.
-

Ya. Never seen that that I recall. I wonder if the ball was larger; introduces a whole bunch of variables.
-
The pin is called Hercules, and it's the world's largest pinball. The ball was a cueball.

I think that was me in the plaid pants! ;D
Huh...Wan't everybody wearin' plaid pants? :dunno ;D
-
No, that was mostly, if not completely, the early 80s. People were wearing jeans. Hell, even here in the 70s everybody wore jeans. And not even bell-bottoms but regular cut.
-
I thought I might see my missing parachute pants.
NOT!
Maybe they were lost in cyberspace.
With my pet rock.
-
Aw, parachute pants were cool. I guess it didn't catch on back east; probly more a west coast/cali thing.
-
I watched this again today (lazy Friday afternoon trying to get geared up for tomorrow's auction, so the arcade videos are being played nonstop) and realized that I never gave appropriate kudos.
Was cool to see a Maneater cabinet in there (not quite a holy grail, but a cab I would definitely love to have).
Thanks BrentRadio!

Kind of the reverse of the Fat DDR... So this is how you are supposed to play DDR. Greatness but not worthy of its own Thread... :notworthy:

Parachute pants = late 80's.

Parachute pants = late 80's.
At least in California I was wearing Parachute pants in 5th & 6th grade....along with my rock "pins"...and I graduated in 1990...so that would put it at 1983-1984 that parachute pants were big...at least in So. Cal.
-
I remember them in the early eighties too.
