Title: Help, component video slanted and overscan issues
Post by: clubberlang on June 12, 2007, 01:25:18 pm
I tried to find a topic on this, but I have component video set up and it is running 640x432 in mameplus, the problem is that the picture is not only having an issue with overscan but also it slants down and to the right. I selected the option to fit in the screen in mameplus and that takes care of a lot of the overscan. I have a catalyst Radeon 9550 video card and when I switched over to  component from s-video, the overscan tool was no longer available in the options for it.. Has anyone else encountered any similar problems? Would a third party software program help like powerstrip? I just don't know what to do next. Also my monitor is a flat-screen by phillips. Thanks for any advice.

You should search the web for the service codes for your TV set.  Both those geometry problems can usually be adjusted there.  Be sure to write down the original values before changing anything in case you need to revert.
