Title: CP overlay material, where could I get this?
Post by: AE35 on June 08, 2007, 12:26:19 pm
Hi all!

I'm looking for something like this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Large-BLACK-CONTROL-PANEL-OVERLAY-Arcade-cpo-MAME_W0QQitemZ280113771098QQihZ018QQcategoryZ13718QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

But thought that some of you guys new other places to get it? Maybe online Arcade
stores etc.

I'm having trouble with paint and small dents, so I think I might take this route.

Thanks,

Nicholas

Parts Express (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=261-618). See this thread (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=58702.0). That ebay seller is asking a nice markup: Buying one roll for $19, cutting it into 9 pieces and selling them for $11 each.

Oh...can you get it in 'flat' instead of this?

It will look better not flat.  That picture is blown up quite a bit.  The texture is hardly noticable and it does a very nice job hiding dirt and scuffs.

I got something similiar for my driving cabinet from Happs.   It was the Black Pica vinyl.  It was on sale when I got some.  Here is the link:

You might want to call to inquire whether it will be going on sale soon.

Very true...the texture is much enlarged. Jav is right...it (the texture) is barely noticable.
A flat surface would show every imperfection...the texture will help hide any minor flaws.

I have a bunch extra laying around...how much do you need? Shoot me a PM.
