Ack! I finally went ahead and bought the supplies for my arcade. Cost me about $640.00 dollars with shipping and all! All this and this is just for the control panel! :o :dizzy:
So this is all the crap I bought...
2x Ultrastick 360
2x U360 Hard Springs
2x Led Wiz
I-Pac4
I-pac cable
Electric Ice Trackball
Electric Ice Buttons
RGB Drives
P1 P2 Esc Credit - Button Inserts
Turbo twist 2 Spinner
Black Horizontal Buttons
Pushbutton wrench
Can't wait to get them so I can start playing with some of this stuff. I'm first going to build a stand alone CP just to get it all working plus see what layout fits best. Once I get all that done, I'll finally get to work on the cabinet.
I'm in too deep, there's no turning back now! :hissy:
-
Well the problem is that pushbutton wrench... I just use my hand, you could have saved like $2 right there. :laugh2:
Sounds like some great loot. 2 LedWizs and RGB drives eh? I like flashy CPs be sure to take some good photo's or even video when you get a cool setup going.
I don't know whether congratulations or condolences are in order... Congratulations on ordering some great stuff to start your fun projects, and condolences on having to part with so much money.
-
meh, tax refund...
-
I'll give ya $320 for the lot...
;D
-
Good job EfJayel -
I'm sure you knew it cost that much though. Thats a lot of CP. Those electric ice buttons cost a bundle. The only thing your missing is a trackball. :)

Didn't we used to warn folks that there are two golden rules in terms of actually completing cabs:
1 - Build the cabinet before the CP, otherwise you end up playing games instead of building
2 - Stay the heck out of EE until cabinet is complete (I guess this now should say EE and PnR)
In any event, nice collection of gear.
Normally I would have agreed with bfkusa about the wrench, but I found myself needing (but not having) one this past weekend when trying to remove some buttons that were screwed in by a mildly over-zealous op. Bruised fingers and button nuts were the result. Keep the wrench.
Cheers

If you have access to plumbing supplies, a standard shower valve socket wrench will fit.
Here is a sample of what I am talking about.

Lew, he got an Electric Ice. I'm wondering why with all those usb devices you decided to get an encoder. Or, why you got only two sticks but an I-PAC 4.
-
Yeah, Lew, I got the Electric Ice Trackball. Might as well make this flashy and have people :applaud: when seeing it. And I did know how much it cost. IF you can remember some of my previous postings, I said I was going to research EVERYTHING before starting. And I've spent countless hours nay days and weeks just researching. And Designing.
Oh and I'm sure I will spend countless hours playing/wasting after only having built the CP first. But I'll get the cab done as well. I didn't spend even more so money on all the tools just to let them sit there with nothing to do.
I got the I-pac 4 since my original plans called for regular switch joysticks plus a dedicated 4-way. It wasn't until way later that I found out about the Ultrastik 360 and how they eliminate the need for for all the extra inputs. That and I probably plan to get some regular switch joysticks in the future for a different project. But that doesn't mean I completely forgot about the smaller I-pac2. But the real reason was cause I'm the type of person who will buy the best even if I don't use it to its full potential. I end up wasting more money because of this habit but in the end I feel better about having bough the best.
Until it breaks or something :hissy:...
Cheffo Jeffo, what is EE and PnR?

Good that you bought the tools too. I did the same research-forever thing on my controls and now all that expensive crap is just sitting on my floor because I don't have everything I need to finish my CP. :banghead:
what is EE and PnR?
Look UP

Did you just call me a soup?
skilly
A noun
1 skilly: a thin porridge or soup (usually oatmeal and water flavored with meat)

Now I'm more curious to know what EE and PnR mean. Someone tell me! :hissy:

Ah, braindead... like so many Politicians and Religious officials.
Of course you realize you are being told only so you know which sections of the forums to stay out of until your cabinet is completed. It's too late for me it seems.

Oh I finally get it. You guys where talking about Forums. And here I thought those acronyms and initials where about building the cab. I don't visit those other forums which is why I didn't know about them but thats good cause they won't distract me.

You got it! Make sure to definitely check out - RBNK, IINR, and LNM. They are essential for cabinet builders.
