Title: Just got a Wii
Post by: JoeJoe97 on June 06, 2007, 07:09:47 am
I was finally able to find a wii.  I was too lazy to scour every store at every hour to find one, I just looked when I happened to be there.  I go grocery shopping at walmart about once a week, so I finally got one.  They only had two so I'm not sure yet if I was lucky or if they finally met supply in my area.  I do know they are still not available, non-bundled, online anywhere.

I just have wii sports now, its fun and I think rather arcadeish.  Maybe thats just how I feel because I get the most use out of my trackball on my arcade machine.  It will definitely be more fun with people, I think.

One quick question on the Virtual Console.  Are there any multiplayer games for it?  On a cursory glance, Tecmo bowl and Excitebike are set as one player games on the VC, and a few others are one player passing a controller around to take turns.  Something like street fighter 2 would be terrible as a one player game.  Or even tecmo bowl for that matter.

they are identical to the original game.  If they were two player, then they are now.  Except no rumble if theyhad it.

Bomberman from the TG16 supports up to five people at a time using a mix of wiimotes and gamecube controllers.  It's a blast to play with five folks all at the same time.  Hopefully at some point they'll add Battle Royale, a fun TG16 five player wrestling game.

I'm not sure why anyone'd consider downloading the original SFII.  :dizzy:  Especially if you've already BYOA.

I have a lot of fond memories of the SNES version of SFII.  The only reason I wouldn't DL it is because I have a Super NES (almost strictly for that purpose).

You are correct.  The website I was looking at for the games had them all listed as 1 player, but the Wii virtual console has them listed as they were.

My Nephews have had a Wii since christmas....

all they play are the gamecube games (Day of Reckoning and  Naruto 2 mostly)  I got them
they dont really like any of the Wii specific games except bowling.  The only game Im interested in playing on it is the new Zelda but I dont have the time or money for that noise right now
