Finally! :applaud:
2000+ miles of driving later, with some very pissy kitties, we finally arrived. Still in a hotel, actually a residence suite, until the movers arrive with our stuff on Thursday. I'm so glad to be out of the car. I need a beer.

Congrats, and welcome to the Valley of the sun. Been here since last September, and am definitely enjoying it. Hope you do as well.

You are here:

Glad to hear you made it okay!

Thank you all...
Been running errands today, DMV, Post Office, etc... fun fun. Going to take the cat to the vet here in a few because he decided to get sick right before we started our trip and now we have to get a follow up done. Damn vets are expensive, too. :banghead:

Not so. Canals run all round. As well, there's an artifical lake right near ASU.
-
Welcome to AZ....

I'd mail you a burlap drowning bag, but I don't think there's any creeks or ponds around there.
Yeah, like shorthair said, there's Tempe town lake, as well as canals, the Salt River, etc...
Not gonna drown him though, he's my buddy. He needs to lose some weight. He's close to 18 pounds, which is what triggered a urinary tract blockage. Fun stuff when your cat can't take a piss.
The movers come today, which is good. I'm so sick of living in hotels, and living out of my car.
There was a letter from the HOA waiting when we got there. The lawn needs more water. :dizzy: The lawn is friggen dead. If I tossed a match, it would go up in a sec. Why the hell you would want grass in Phoenix, I don't know. Give me some pebbles and sand and a few cactus that I don't have to mess with. :banghead:
-
Well, notice that most apartment complexes here have very nice grassy areas. I like it. But, now you can spread some water, lightly till the land, put in your respective cacti and throw gravel on the rest. But people wonder why it's hotter in Phoenix than here. Well, all the pavement, gravel, and brick walls.

Watch out for that shorthair guy.

Welcome to the neighborhood.
Yeah, native vegitation is the way to go for easy maintenance. Of course, hardly anyone has just native plants which is why you'll soon find out that every season is allergy season in AZ now, but at least you don't have to mow your lawn every 2 weeks if it's gravel and dirt.
