Hi all,
After trying for a month to get a wii from by local bestbuy (), I am going to give this a try.
So here is the deal. I am looking for a "lightly used" Wii base system with all pieces. I prefer a non-smoker trade since it will be in a non-smoking house. Also, if you have any games or accessories LMK. I have more BB GCs.
The cards: The cards are in $100 increments...that's all I can think off.
Terms,
I will cover shipping from the lower 48. Any other locations and I will have to calculate it.
I will ship first to an established trader.

If I had no VC titles downloaded, I'd probably hit you up on that offer...
Where do you live? Wiis should be available anytime now. Are you checking your Sunday newspapers? If it's advertised in any inserts, that store HAS to have at least some in stock that Sunday morning (or whenever the advertised prices take effect-usually that Sunday.)
-
And oh yeah...
One month? Try waiting four months, when it was going to be a Christmas present! :o
-
The thing is I am trying to leverage the Bestbuy GCs. And Best Buy (the ones local at least) are notorious for only getting 5-7 at a time :hissy:
Hypernova, what *would* you consider for your Wii Package?

Hit GameStops early in the morning is all I can suggest.
I got a used Wii months ago on Ebay with Zelda, 6 VC games, 1GB memory card, and an extra wiimote for $350 shipped. Nobody wants a used one since they're so new, so you get a big discount. Seller told me he lost almost $200 on that sale. (!)
First thing in the morning isn't usually your best bet. UPS runs at different times in different places. Ask the Gamestop employees when UPS usually runs, and show up around that time, or shortly thereafter. If you wait until the next morning, chances are they'll be gone.
Just a quick note. I was at Target last week, and there were 5 (yes, 5) sitting on the shelf. Went back a couple days later, and they were all gone. Either people are actually buying them to play them, or they are buying them to stick on the (e)bay. If it's the latter, once the market gets saturated, and they don't bring a premium price anymore, you will start finding them in stores all day long.

My package includes:
System + 4 remotes and 2 nunchuks
Wii play game
Zelda game
VC Titles:
Zelda LttP
Mario Brothers (NES)
Mario World (SNES)
Mario 64 (N64
Sim City (SNES)
I'd accept no less than what all this cost new, because then I'd have to buy it all again anyway. Which from the looks of it is about $490 (before taxes.) I'd never sell my Wii unless it was for decent profit. I love it too much!
I HIGHLY suggest you follow my directions earlier. That's how I got mine, and how a coworker of mine got his. It's all about the Sunday paper, baby. Get up around 6-7 am.

Sweet Stuff!
Well, I'm gonna keep on trying. That's for sure. Out of curiosity, how good is the VC? It would kill me if it wasn't near perfect.

100 perfect emulation for most games, 99% for a few.
-
Everything I've played so far has been exact. Zelda LttP slowed down in the the 4th Dark World dungeon in the first half of the area. Seems to be caused by the number of enemies onscreen. Other than that, just perfect.

Now I really want a Wii!
:hissy:
-
Bump!
And I will pay shipping!
-
Meijer's were the only ones advertising this morning. Do you have a few near you? Call 'em up!
-
Toys R' Us - Out
Meijer - Out
Kmart - Score...one F :censored: ing broken Wii.
I am not kidding the little light comes on, but the Disc Doesn't sound like it's spinning...at all...sigh...now I am calling Nintendo tomorrow.
:hissy:
Side not: I really like the little emoticons...
-
Did you try to pop the disc in the other direction? Maybe you happen to have it in upside down. At least you got one and then you can get it serviced. ;)
-
If I had checked the forums more frequently, I would have traded you my system for the GCs. Oh well...I'm glad to know you got one...hopefully it'll be working soon enough.

Well here is the story.
Nintendo wanted me to pay for shipping to get it serviced as they two repair locations close to be do not allow drops. I am not disposed to doing this. I returned the unit and got a refund.
Paik4Life, the trade is still available
