Title: benson multisync clicks (no picture)
Post by: terabit on June 02, 2007, 09:30:34 pm
I have a 27 inch Benson Multisysnc monitor with an ArcadeVGA card. Have had the set up for 2 years and all of a sudden the monitor will not come on and just makes a continuous clicking sound.  ???I have had it plugged into a SmartStrip power strip. I tried unplugging from the SmartStrip and just plugging into the wall and the monitor starts to make the clicking sound and nothing on the screen. Man I hope the monitor is not fried :banghead:. Anybody have any thoughts on what may be causing this.
Thanks
Glenn

The monitor may not be fried, but it probably has blown a fuse or melted a capacitor/resistor/whatever. Check the neckboard and main PCB and see if you see any scorched brown. If so, you'll probably need a cap kit.
