This will not be shipped A-N-Y-W-H-E-R-E - local pickup only. It will go on Craigslist and/or Freecycle in a week.
I have a completely gutted Pole Position cab. I was not the person who gutted it, so therefore I have N-O-N-E of the parts to it.
I am in WI, Milwaukee area. If you want a free cab, I am willing to deliver it to you if you are in one of the following cities:
Greenfield
Greendale
New Berlin
Milwaukee
St Francis
Cudahy
Brookfield
Waukesha
Butler
Menomonee Falls
Everywhere else, you need to meet me at an agreed-upon place. Again, this is FREE, no cost to you, and I will deliver it to you. I will ONLY use responses in this thread as the list of those who wish to stake claim to this - if the first response falls through, the second response will be contacted, and so on.
Again, if this gets no response within a week, it is going on Craigslist and/or Freecycle. Post a reply if you're interested.

:angry:I just did a search for some sort of proud gas guzzler imagery to share with you for a possible avatar and it did nothing but piss me off. Some people take an image and put the stupidest captions with it, whiny ---smurfing--- hippies. A picture of a purpose built large industrial truck with some whiny comment about gas guzzling is ridiculous, you can't haul big ---smurfing--- rocks in a Prius. :timebomb:

Are you getting rid of the Pole Position so you can just drive real cars at the race track instead, video games are actually too energy efficient if you are simulating some sort of fossil fuel burning sport.
I wouldn't mind a PP cab, but I'm closer to Kremmit and even that's too far.

No, nothing like that. We may potentially be moving/buying a house and I'm looking to clean up my basement. I've already got a Time Pilot I need to put some more effort into, and finish off my current CP. Getting to MAME-ing that Pole Position wouldn't happen until my grandkids asked me what that big wooden box is ;D

Q*bert, sorry I've gone missing for a bit, I'm actually just popping in to view this thread. Info in PM.
As for pics of it, meh :dunno I'd have to do some moving around just to get at the dang thing, and I'm looking at a half-hour's worth of work for that - meaning it ain't gonna happen until it's getting ready to leave the house. It's free. You'd have gotten every cent's worth by taking it sight unseen. At the very worst, it'll actually save you a few cents worth of wood if you had decided to toss it in the fireplace :dunno

Here's the cab.
The previous owner evidently had some problems moving it without a coin door, and it cracked. He threw a metal strip in there, but only put it across the part that was broke for him. In moving it out to my truck, the same thing happened to the other side of the coin door opening. Here's pics of the cab, and the damage.
These pics are for the interested party(s), as this will be removed from my house today or tomorrow no matter the outcome.

I'm waiting on a response from CykoMF, and if anyone else is interested still, shoot me a PM. This WILL be leaving my house by Sunday night, so if you're interested, it will be delivered IMMEDIATELY, as moving it back into my basement, more damage would likely occur, meaning it'd be just as good as me wheeling it to the dumpster 100 yds from my house.
If anyone is still interested, let me know your phone number in your PM as well, and we'll go from there.

On KLOV there's a second type of PP that looks similar to this which is why I thought that's what it was. I won it at the auction for $2 in the exact condition you see it in, so I never saw what it was before it was gutted, and the only thing that came to mind was PP.
I hadn't realized the pedal area was set so far back, and I seem to recall playing that setup as a kid on a racing game, and the only one I could remember was PP also.
