Can a wired XBOX360 controller be used on PC?
-
Yep.
They even sell them in packaging specifically for use on PC.
You'd just need to d/l the drivers.
-
wired controllers plug right in... wireless need a 20 dollar adaptor
-
And if the game doesnt take the controls natively, JoytoKey solves all.
-
So the xbox360 has usb inputs on the front?
What I'm asking is: wired controller for pc or xbox360 have the exact same cable?
Thanks

Timoe,
Yes

You don't need drivers, but they help.
You can also use wireless controller by getting the wireless adaptor. I've done both, works great :)

Could you use a blue tooth adapter by any chance instead of the wireless adapter made by microsoft?
-
No, it's a proprietary format.

I've done this. Does anyone know of a way to use that middle button ( the one with the 'X' logo thing on it ) for something other than opening that annoying battery monitor? Basically I want to use it as a regular button, but the button doesn't show up in Windows' controller settings.

It's use is restricted, even in the XNA refresh1.0 tools

Yes I use my doa xbox360 stick on my computer through the usb ports. I just installed the drivers. The only difference in the 360 controllers and the ones for windows in the driver cd.
