Note:
I bought all this through my College student store, so all of this software is under a student EULA. This means that while the software is full version, it is only to be sold to students and faculty.

It also means that when you bought it you agreed not to resell it.  That's part of the Student Use EULA too.  Did you have to sign something at the bookstore where you bought it?

See section 2e of the Microsoft Student Select License Agreement. (http://www.bu.edu/univcomp/media/Student_Select_License_Agreemen.pdf)  Transfer of any sort of the license is prohibited by the license agreement.

Note at the bottom of page 2 where there is a section for the Student's signature.

Sorry for the HIJACK, but I'm a student, where can I get this software for those low prices?

Your campus bookstore.

It also says this:

I understand that the Software license may not be transferred in any way.

A+M may have its own license with Microsoft, who knows, but the one I linked to (from BU) is the standard student license from MS.

In fact, you just said "send me a copy of XP" and mailed a check for $5 to the IS department.

Really?

I understand that I must present a valid ID when picking up software and that no one may pick up software for me.

Doesn't it just tickle your willies when someone volunteers information they're better of not volunteering?

What he means is that it's not in the best interests of the organization to publicly state that they do not follow their site license agreement the way they contractually agreed to.  Mailing out copies is not what they are allowed to do.   :dunno

No no, you give me too much credit. I didn't really read through most of that contract ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---. I was talking about the author of the post. Most of this thread wouldn't exist if he hadn't mentioned that part.

Heh, I did give you too much credit, but you're right about that.

There are some time volunteering of information just creates, or enables, clutter...regardless of our intentions.
