Ive looked for a while and with no luck, I cannot find full side art for a Pole Position. Does anyone know where I can get some reproduction side art. Do they even exsist? ??? Someone shed some light on this. Thanks

I second this motion.
I'm also looking for this artwork with no luck. All I have found is the square on the side (with the race cars).
It doesn't seem like it would be that tough, perhaps we can persuade someone on here who has the means to help with a group purchase.
I'm sure there are more than a few people that need this.
Can anyone help us?

I can take a really high quality picture of a pole position II dedicated sit down cab, other then that all I can do is wish you luck

Yep, that's why I said I could only find the race car side art.
In a perfect world, a complete overlay would be available. (Sigh) I'm not giving up hope yet.

Hi, I ran into the same problem. I knew I could get the racing car graphic from Mamemarquees so I stripped off all of the side art and started from scratch. I painted the entire side white, then added the red components, then the blue and finally the silver. I am now waiting for the final decals from Mamemarquees. I think it turned out rather well.

WOW, Im really impressed with that. Print out the car graphic, and that would look minty fresh. Excellent work my friend!

Thanks. It's been a long haul but it has been real fun. I am going to MAME the cabinet so it will run PP and PP2 only. Everything will nice and minty fresh.

Do you have any project notes on this you'd be willing to share? Maybe even the dimensions/measurements you took? It would be great to be able to send these to Pr0k and get stencil made that others could use. I know that there are several people that have been looking for the PP sideart over the years, but it's never been done as there are so many cabs available.
Nice job. Would love to see more of the work. I did a hand stencil on a Joust and understand the effort it takes to do what you did.

One more note...
Do you have the paint codes from the project? Were you satisified at how close you were able to match the original colors?
-
I am very pleased with the outcome. The colors are all very very close. Everyone who has seen it says the machine looks brand new minus the side logo which has not yet arrived. As for the paint codes I used Behr paint from Home Depot for the blue and red, Debbie Travis paint from Canadian Tire and straight black high gloss spray paint for the Atari logo. I'll list them below. I have also installed a brand new CPO overlay from Mamemarquees (it's awesome),a minty fresh coin door, stripped and repainted the gas pedal, and finally I have ordered a LED marquee replacement for the old worn out fluorescent one. I'll post more pics in the project section as I have before and after for everything I have done.
Red - Behr Grenadine semi gloss (Home Depot)
Blue - Song Bird (Home Depot)
Silver -Silver Satin (Debbie Travis Collection at Canadian Tire) Here is the paint code for this color based on a quart- Blk 38 shots +1 half shot
YOX 5 shots +1 half shot
OXR 2 shots +1 half shot
