To sort of continue the Olevia discussion we had a couple weeks ago.
link (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=204653206&adid=17070&dcaid=17070)
Specs a little lower than the Olevia but this one has a tuner and it more (and more varied) inputs.
EDIT: Just so it's out there, no I have no stake in these things. I'm loosely tracking them now that they are hitting price points that make them viable for use in cabs. 32" really seems to be the sweet spot right now.

Looks like a good buy.
Personally though, I will be buying my first HDTV from Sam's Club. They have an unconditional return policy for the life of the product. My boss had a rear projection HDTV go out after 3 years and they took it back without question. Now THAT is customer service. ;D
-
Nice. Showed this to a co-worker and his buddy looking for a TV just bought one. After signing up for buy.com credit it was 409.99 shipped.
I love my 37' Vizio. I bought mine at Sam's and couldn't be happier.
-
I would love a 37 foot LCD too. Damn!
Return on the life of the product? That's completely stupid. A TV isn't worth half of what you paid for it within two years even if it's still in the box.

I'm not understanding what you are complaining about. They give you your original money back no questions asked. What is there to complain about? :dunno
-
Not a complaint, I'm boggling at the stupidity of the business practice. The only way I can see that working is if their markup on TVs is equalling mind boggling.
-
To be fair, not many people know about this policy. They state they have an unconditional return policy if you are unsatisfied in any way, but noone pays attention that there isn't a time limit on it.
-
It's worth buying a membership just so you can buy/return TVs every two years or so and get a newer model.
-
Costco used to have that same policy. Untill too many people took advantage of it. Now they have a 90-day policy.

Yep, and sams club's policy was modelled on costco's, so I'd suspect their policy will change before the years end. I DO have a 42" plasma I bought from costco pre-policy change that I could bring back anytime I want (old purchases were grandfathered in) but I'm not one to manipulate the system. I got a good product for a good price (at the time) and I'm happy with it.

Heh, I just had a discussion with someone in the chat room about this. Unfortunately they'll never be a viable option for a mame cab because they have a 16:9 ratio and most of your mame games are 3:4 or 4:3. Now if you enjoy distorted pictures or wasting 20% of your screen then they are. Also if you like podium cabs, because I don't see how they would fit/look good in a standard mame cab.
It's a decent price, I'm not complaining on that, it's just not a good fit for arcade games.
-
While that's true about MAME, I was referring to cabs like this one (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=57479.0).
They don't all use MAME.

EDIT: removed, nm, bad link

They make TigerDirect look like the best retailer in the world. ;D

In that case, I removed my link, could you remove it from your quote? Don't want anyone going there on our info.

Yeah, but you could finally play Darius without a magnifying glass...
