Post by: lettuce on May 20, 2007, 07:02:22 am
Anyone know of Arcade Monitor Companies here in the UK, as the majorty of them seem to be all USA based, i know of Hantarex, Suzo and Pentranic, but are there other companies or is that our lot for the UK? As im after a Multi sync 25" to 28" monitor and my only option looks like the POLO STAR monitor

pentranic do a multi sync, they are u.k based
others who stock monitors are suzo, brent, eurocoin and of course hantarex
i have used pentranic and they are o.k but  i prefer the hantarex polostar
remember if you want digital then pentranic is a better bet,the polostar is an analogue chassis so if you're swapping resolutions alot it will need manual adjustment

So how does a Digital differ from a Analogue monitor then?

the digital monitor is the same as a pc vga monitor,if you are using a pc based multi game system you may have to find the correct frequency that suits your system best.
a digital monitor can record your settings whereas anolgue monitor would need manual adjustment whilst swapping from 15k to 31k,the digital multisyncs are supposed to get around this problem.
i have polostar monitors but they are in dedicated cabs so there is only a 31k input
try emailing pentranic to see how sensitive their multi sync chassis is to change of input frequency.
