Title: PAC - Bagel!
Post by: knave on May 18, 2007, 12:16:20 pm: I had just finished helping my 3-year-old get her socks on when she asked for some of what her older sister had (bagel). My wife turned and handed her something. And I put her shoes on.

"Is there one of those for me?", I ask...

"You can have this one." she said as she hands me a Bagel with a wedge cut out.

I look at it and before I can respond she says, "It's a Pac-man bagel!"

..."Alright! Arcade themed Breakfast!" I yell.

Just goes to show that Me and my cabs are slowly winning her over.

Pretty soon the Neo-Geo will appear in the house for her Bust-a-move "Conviniance" >:D

When this started she said I don't need an arcade cabinet. (Gasp) I sure do!

I hope that everyone can find their "Pac-bagel"!

I think my wife is pretty cool about it, but I do wish she would go ahead and buy into the "If you can't beat em, join em" philosophy.

Post by: Crowquill on May 18, 2007, 06:28:21 pm: I knew I'd converted my wife when we were driving through downtown Cincinnati and she commented that an area with lots of steps and angled roofs reminded her of a level in Tony Hawk.

I picked up a Neo-Geo cab at an auction a couple weeks ago and hinted that she'd be pleasantly surprised with it. She was pretty excited when I handed her the Bust-A-Move cartridge. The 2-slot PCB was moved into the JAMMA cabinet so that we could play while I glue the side back on the MVS cab and hunt down a new monitor. She has Bust-A-Move to play (as do i), and I have King of Fighters 99. I didn't hear her grumble once about "another cab in the house". I used a similar tactic when I bought the generic JAMMA cab. Mr Driller 2 was the first game for it.
