Title: Saving volume changes in Midway games?
Post by: MartyNg on May 16, 2007, 08:28:30 pm
My volume settings don't seem to save in Midway games such as MK and NBA Jam. Every time I quit the game and go back in, I have to crank the volume all the way back up again. Is there any way to save all midway game settings at max volume? Thanks!

If you're using Mame32, when you change volume in-game, it only temporarily over-rides the settings in the GUI. You have to set it from GUI for it to be permanent.

I probably should have pointed out that I'm using command line MAME with Mala as a front end. Thanks.

Can't you just create an ini file for each game and set the volume there?

### Mame CORE sound options ###
samplerate 44100
samples 1
resamplefilter 1
sound 1
volume 0 (just alter this to the desired level)
