I'm using Mame v106 with GameEx FE. When I'm playing a game, sometimes when I press two buttons simultaneously, the screen rotates 90 degrees and then all of a sudden I have to turn my head to see what's going on. I can get the screen back to normal but it takes some fiddling with the pushbuttons and it's really annoying! I'm using GGG Keywiz Max but I'm not pushing the Shazaam button to trigger any other keys. I tried some searches on-line and in the forum but i can't seem to find out how to control this problem. Can I turn this "feature" off somehow?
Is this a Mame, GameEx, or Keywiz prob?
Cheers!

I had a similar problem using AtomicFE and a GPWiz49. I had to map the GPWiz49 to keys using JoyToKey. I used the standard MAME key layout. I finally traced the problem to the video card driver. Something to do with the Alt key in combination with another key would change the video settings. I remapped JoyToKey and MAME to use different keys and the problem went away.
Use the KeyWiz software to reprogram the keys sent to the computer and remap MAME to match.

Stop drinking so much when you play.

Disable the hotkeys for screen rotation in your video card driver or utility.

Sorry but how do I do this?

It's not the booze so much as the crack I smoke when I play :dizzy:

First ... what type of video card do you have ?
Next ... do you have the documentation ?

I have a integrated Intel Extreme Graphics w/ 128MB Shared Memory with no documentation. The CPU is a Gateway 5200XL. I don't know how to access the video settings.

Can you bring up the video driver properties (perhaps a right-click on the desktop or via the control panel) ?
I'll bet there is a hotkeys checkbox in there somewhere.

You're right. Originally I didn't see in CONTROL PANEL the option for ADDITIONAL SETTINGS. Once I clicked that, I was able to access the DISPLAY DRIVER SETTINGS and disable the hotkeys. Thanks!
