Title: Does anyone here have the PSX Ultra Racer controller?

I got one for free the other day.  I am trying to get it to work with mame.  For some reason the PSX to USB adapter does not seem to be detecting it.  I do not have the manual so i am not sure if i have to program it or not.  It does have a program "set" button.  Does anyone have experience with this controller?
